Growing up with Dhamma: Reflections on My Perceptions of Interpersonal Relationships
HAIB Virtual Intergenerational Roundtable Conversation
Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 4:00-5:30 pm (HST)
The word “dhamma” which generally means the teachings of the Shakyamuni Buddha, can be understood also as “ natural states.” As we know, the teachings of the Buddha are about the nature of our mind and body for us to see things as they really are. Therefore, we can look at this conversation topic as “growing up naturally and how I understand my interactions with people around me”.
This program presents a light-hearted conversation within generations and among generations; Alpha, X, Y and Z. The ten panelists will reveal in the conversation how and when they apply the basic Buddhist teachings to their daily interpersonal relationships with their friends, classmates, co-workers, parents, relatives, neighbors, and/or strangers.
